So…wanna here something really cool? Last night was pretty awesome. Not because we did anything fancy or spectacular, but because we did what used to be a pretty normal thing for us. See, Zach used to play soccer. He started when he was four years old and played every season until about two years ago. He loved it! Our Saturday mornings were mostly spent on the soccer fields, watching Zach, and then later Ryan, play. The coolest thing about it all is the friendships that Zach made with some of his teammates. They became his best friends. And what’s even cooler…their parents became some of our closest friends. So, last night, when they asked if Zach could play in place of someone that was out, he jumped at the chance! No hesitation. We were off to the fields just like old times. It felt great! I will say I was a bit nervous for Zach who hasn’t played or trained for it in a looong time, but he did great, minus the sore legs…but that’ll pass!😂 I will admit I got a bit emotional (that’s nothing new 🙄). I was immediately flooded with memories. These little moments mean so much to us now and sitting there watching them made me realize that Zach needs these normal moments in his crazy, busy life. Don’t get me wrong…the most amazing thing EVER is watching Zach do what he was born to do. Making music is his life! But, watching him get to do normal teenage stuff was pretty awesome, too.
What I loved watching the most is how normal their friendship still is. Even though they don’t spend as much time together as they used to, they’re the absolute same when they’re together as they’ve always been. I hope they cherish their time together, always have each other’s backs and remain forever friends…forever family.
Oh my gosh that’s so cool! I have been playing soccer since I was four and started competitive soccer when I was 9. I am on a girl’s ECNL team for Boise Timbers/Thorns and play varsity soccer for my high school (I play holding mid). It’s really cool to me that you can love a sport so much but then find a balance with music, (I have been singing in choir since age 8 and take singing lessons). I play 7 instruments and love singing. I love soccer so much, but I feel like music is what truly makes me happy. Anyways, it’s just so cool to me that he played soccer hahaha (I’m a big fan of WDW 😉 ). ❤❤❤

Everybody needs this kind of normalcy, even for those like Zach who are on their way to stardom. The fandom is getting crazy with rumors, bullying, and bashing and it’s really nice to see that the boys, though it’s their fandom, don’t need to get all too mixed up in all that craziness. This is why I’m glad that they all have strong family ties. They all have the right to follow their hearts towards what they want and what they need in their lives. There is nothing in this life that’s worse than existing and not knowing what to do with oneself.
I’m a mom to Ian but even I sometimes think of what else I should be doing for myself because after all, I’m not just a mother, I am my own person as well. This is why I love watching bits of their lives unfold in every IG story because I love to see the realness in them and with the people that surround them. I especially enjoyed watching that clip of your kids playing in the yard, those videos Zach posted on his account. And Reese with that baseball bat, LOL! I can tell that your girl is not going to be a pushover 😀 By the way, what else do you love to do, besides being a mom of your kids and of course, blogging? I love singing and writing, just some of my well-loved hobbies. I’m actually writing a fanfiction of the boys being secret agents, lol! I still dream of becoming a real author someday.
I would love to meet you and the boys someday, too, if you ever get here to the Philippines where their Invitation EP went #2 in the iTunes charts. The boys are becoming huge and there’s no doubt why. They will need the grace of God and their families more than ever. I will always pray for each and every one of you guys. Take care!

Yes, everyone definitely deserves some balance in their life. I think it’s also important for people to see them with their families doing normal every day things. The rumors and bullying will never end, it’ll probably actually get worse, but people need to be reminded that they are normal people. All the boys have strong family support. They’re all super close to their families and I’m so thankful for that. 🙂

I understand the soccer weekends too, my older brother used to play weekly so when it was cold we’d have to go watch (I live in the UK) 😂 I’m glad those days are over and I’m now 17, my brother is 20 and still plays but doesn’t rely on my parents anymore😂

This is so cute! I love that zach’s friendship has not changed and that he can still play football (That’s what we call soccer in Scotland) with his best friends 💜 I also read the one about Reese too and according to my mum and gran I was the same , I started to hate all my clothes or I didn’t like the ones my mum picked out and I could never choose what ones I wanted , it was a nightmare but school wasn’t so bad because we have to wear school uniforms 💖

I have such a huge smile on my face because this is what friendship is supposed to look like. I am so glad that Zach got play soccer with his friends again. He does deserve to have so “normal” time as his life is full of craziness from going from one city to another almost every night. I hope to meet you and Zach sometime soon!! This is the cutest thing!!! i remember watching the Bro Trio friends and i was always so impressed by those goofy boys, they’re actually amazing soccer players. It’s so sweet to hear about what life was like for Zach before this crazy experience that he gets to live right now.
