Europe in fourteen days

Remember that time…a few weeks ago…that I traveled to Europe with the boys for their press tour???  Yeah, it’s been awhile. I’m a slacker and I’m just now posting about it. What’s crazy is I was actually inspired to start my blog while I was in Europe! I was actually in Helsinki, Finland to be exact. I was talking to my friend, Shannon, who really gave me that nudge to get started…again.  I say again because this isn’t the first time I’ve had a blog.  See, many years ago, before Reese was born and the boys were little, I had a blog.  It was just a little family blog that I used to sort of document our daily adventures.  Problem is no one really read it and, I’ll admit, it really just became a chore to keep up.  This time when it was brought up as something that I might be good at, I immediately got excited. I knew I needed it…for me…so I went for it! And look…here I am now several posts later, lots of new friends to interact with, and am having tons of fun!  That’s all I can ask for, right?!

So before I digress on to something else…let me share a little bit of Europe with you! I’m not going into much detail about what we did each day because honestly, there was so much and that would take forever!  I mean…the boys worked hard THE WHOLE TIME! They spent most of the time meeting and speaking with press, doing photo shoots, and performing in showcases. We did get to see some cool sites and meet some cool people, but they were there to work and they did just that.  (Have I told you they’re the hardest working boys I know???) But…here are some (okay a lot…sorry) of my fave pics that I took when I was pretending to be a professional photographer.😉 Believe it or not…wanting to start a photography business was also something I’ve always wanted to do, but we can talk about that another time!  I’m just not that good at it.  And I’m okay with that.  🙂

LONDON
I was in love with London! Seriously…I could listen to everyone speak all day! Oh and that architecture.  So so beautiful and impressive.

London Tower Bridge was so gorgeous up close. Just look at all that detail.  The story of the Tower of London is fascinating and such a prominent part of English history.  I encourage you to read up on it if you can!

And those double decker buses!?! So iconic.

Buckingham Palace. GORGEOUS! Was hoping to see someone trying to climb the gates…but it didn’t happen while we were there.  Crazy enough it had actually happened just a few hours before we were there. 😂

Big Ben under construction.  BUMMER. Still beautiful though!

London Eye.  Europe’s tallest Ferris Wheel located on the south bank of the River Thames.

Iconic London telephone box.  Had to get a pic with it 🙂

And of course had to get a pic with my fave, Ed Sheeran, while at the Warner offices! ❤️

PARIS
If only we could have spent more time here! I would have loved to relax at a Parisian Cafe or visit the Louvre…but at least we saw the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. 🙂

Arc de Triomphe is located at the Place Charles de Gaulle. Built to honor those who fought for France.

Ahhhh the Eiffel Tower.  This was way more breathtaking than I expected!  ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. Constructed in the 1880’s originally as the entrance to the 1889 World’s Fair to celebrate the anniversary of the French Revolution.

FINLAND
Beautiful place! I’m not sure what I was expecting here, but I was a bit surprised at how much things were just like home there. Especially the shopping! Our hotel was attached to a shopping mall where they had familiar stores like Gamestop and restaurants like Burger Island and Starbucks.

Looking out to the Baltic Sea. So surreal.

GERMANY
Really enjoyed visiting Hamburg and Munich!

Warner offices.

Ayyyy it was nice to see familiar faces on the walls of the Warner offices 🙂

Touring Hamburg…

Messing around at the Beatles-Platz.

Beatles-Platz (Beatles Square/Plaza) in the St. Pauli quarter. It is a large circle paved black to look like a vinyl record.  The plaza was created in 2008 to commemorate the Beatles and their history in Hamburg during their formative years.

Pickles or fish sandwiches at the food stand in front of the Old Elbe Tunnel. Which would you choose? If you’re wondering…nope, I did not have the fish sandwich!

AMSTERDAM
I loved the vibe here! Such a cool city.  Bikes everywhere! I was so sad that we didn’t have time to visit the Anne Frank museum while here. That’s a definite must see for next time!

Whew! That. Took. Forever. Sorry for the overload of photos!  I’ve been meaning to get that out for awhile but was overwhelmed with the amount of pics.  It’s obviously not all the pics I took, but that’s about all I could share for now.  I had a seriously amazing time with the Zach, the other boys and the crew!  I especially enjoyed seeing the love and support the boys received from those of you who we got to visit with! It was amazing to see so many supporters waiting hours at the airport, and at the hotel (sometimes overnight) just to be able to see the boys for a few minutes and express their love for them. So touching…yes I teared up many times! It was truly a surreal experience! Until next time Europe…

❤️ M.H.

Oh my God why didn’t I knew you were a blogger. I’m so happy that I found this sharing what’s happening to you and your family’s life. I’m sad I haven’t met the boys. You’re a very supportive mother. Also I love the pictures and what you said about hearing the people from London’s voices (I love British accent 😂😂). 👏👏

Hi! Your photos are great! Eiffel Tower is still my favorite, though, because it looks gorgeous in the evening. Thanks for uploading all these amazing photos of these European landmarks. I, too, used to have my own family and online business blogs but nobody read about them. Still, I’ve found other ways to continue my “life documentation” (I’ve kept journals since I was 10).

If you had fun in Europe, wait until you get here to Asia. Here’s hoping you’ll be with the boys when that time finally comes so I can meet you. I live here in the Philippines so if you have questions, just email me. Cheers!

I’ve always wanted to go to Europe and see most of the things that you captured through the pictures. Everyone that I know who has gone has said it is fantastic and so that makes me want to go even more! I will hopefully be able to go one day and see some of the beauty that you capture in your breath taking pictures. It must have been so awesome to go and see those places first hand. I also love that in a few of the pictures you capture the boys doing different things. It is in a way “behind the scenes” with the way the pictures turned out. I’m so glad that you started doing your blog because it allows me to have a glimpse into your life as a mom, and also what you get to do and see. I hope you are doing well and that the boys are having fun doing what they are doing!

Mama.herron I want to meet your cute and amazing son, Zach but I can’t because I can’t go to their tour because I am really low on money that’s why I can’t meet your cute son.I love your son soo much that I can’t even go to sleep at night.I wish I could have a relationship with your son,Zach but I am dating someone that I don’t love like your son Zach. Can you plz ask your son and Why Don’t We if they would like to come and meet me and my friend because I have a project about Why Don’t We and if they would like to adopt the merch that I would like to design for them and design their clothes they would wear.

    Your friend or Zach’s crush,
