I wanted to share with everyone a fun Halloween Treat that we make every year for Halloween. I used to make it for my students (I used to teach first grade) as well as for my family. While it’s become a tradition of ours, I’m always super happy when one of my kids asks me to make it. A few weeks ago, while talking to Zach on the phone, he brought it up just to be sure that I was still planning on making it. 🙂 I had planned on it, of course, but it made me smile to hear him ask for it. See…as a mom, it’s nice to hear when your kids remember those little things about holidays that make them a little more special. It’s the little things that they’ll always remember about home.
If you’d like to try it sometime, you’ll need:
Ingredients:
Cocoa Puffs Cereal – rat droppings
Corn Chex Cereal – cob webs
Pretzel Sticks – spider legs
Plain M&Ms – troll eyes
Candy Corn – monster teeth
Mini Marshmallows – ghost noses
Raisins – witch warts
Gummy Worms – creepy crawlers
Pumpkin Seeds – bat wings
Each of the items represents something creepy…to make a delicious sweet & salty snack for all your little monster friends. 🙂
Of course, take out what you don’t like and add whatever else you do like. I did add the Cocoa Puffs (rat droppings) last minute, so make it your own! Just have fun with it!

p.s. Do you have any special Halloween traditions?
My family and I watch scary movies on Halloween! We hand out candy and watch movies and play games! We also make little treats for my little cousin filled with candy and give it to them! And it’s nice cause we had three to five now we have 5.
Where I am from, we do not celebrate the Hallowen, but without doubt I think it’s fun and I would like to be part of their tradition to be part of the Herron tradition, yes, it sounds great, the little moments, as family traditions are a way deser more united and have something for which exciting to arrive, without a doubt, their I can not help but say that really their blogs are good, I really like them ❤🎃🍬

Every year for halloween me or my sister have some friends over for a party. Each year we switch who has the party. We only started this a couple years ago but we have done it ever since. I love spending halloween with my friends

Every year for Halloween me and my family will be in our pajamas and we would have Chinese food and watch movies on Netflix. This is one of the only time of year we will all be able to do something as a family. This tradition stopped because of school and my parents are always working.
