Hi guys! Welcome to my blog! Are blogs even a thing anymore? I don’t really know. But who cares. Truth is I decided to create a blog for me. Not many things are for just me these days. As a mom of three, most of the thoughts that consume me have to do with everyone else in my family. So much goes through my mind these days. Actually, I’ve always been called a thinker. I often get very quiet and into my own thoughts. Sometimes, I even get mistaken for being sort of stand-offish, but honestly, I just get caught up in my own thoughts. Can’t help it. My mom used to always tell me I was ‘pensive’…just a fancy word for being in deep or serious thought. My husband, Josh, and kids often ask me if something is wrong because I’m always thinking. There’s just so much to think about lately! So, I thought that blogging would serve as an outlet for me. Don’t expect super serious discussions or anything. I mean sure there will be some, but I also plan to just document life with my family and talk a bit more about whatever I’m thinking about at the moment. When my boys were younger, before Reese was born, I kept a family blog. Sort of just a family daily journal to document our days and how we spent them. It was great fun and I really enjoyed it. Of course, life happened and being a full time teacher as well as a mother, I just didn’t have the time to keep up with it. It’s so fun to look back on the memories we created and I often wish that I had kept up with it.
So much is happening in my life now that I want to share. As busy as life has gotten for us, I seem to need this outlet to write and share my thoughts even more. Life is super exciting lately. My oldest son, Zach, is a member of the popular band Why Don’t We. How awesome are they, right?! Ryan, my middle, is a singer as well, but hasn’t quite taken to sharing his voice with the world…yet. He also loves gaming and playing soccer. My youngest, Reese, is well the youngest with two older brothers. She’s not spoiled. LOL (insert eye roll). Haha. Reese is our little dramatic one. She’s a little performer, too. Loves to sing, dance, and act. You will see plenty of them both, I’m sure. 🙂 For us right now, we call North Texas our home, but who knows where the future will take us. We’re open to anything.
So, as I begin this blog, I won’t promise what it will be or what it won’t be. It will mostly be about my family and everything that is simply me. Simply Mama Herron – mom of three busy kids and the most supportive husband ever! I will just start and see where it takes me. I’m hoping it will turn out to be very therapeutic for me. I’m hoping for you, that you get enjoyment out of it and maybe even a bit more than that. Maybe you will be able to relate to some of it and can share that with me.
